About the Journal
Interapia – Journal of Clinic, Culture and Mental Sciences is an open-access scientific journal committed to the critical and interdisciplinary dissemination of research, essays, and reflections focused on the human mind, subjectivity, and contemporary clinical practices. The journal addresses topics that intersect the fields of psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, neuroscience, philosophy, education, art, and public health, fostering dialogue between theory and practice, ethics and symbolization, clinical knowledge and culture.
The journal publishes original articles in Portuguese with abstracts in English, all subject to a double-blind peer review process. It is published three times a year and upholds the principles of open science, academic integrity, and the appreciation of authorship.
Current Issue
First half-yearly issue of Interapia, with an editorial and eight papers: transference and affective bond in the teacher-student relationship; the interpretation of dreams and the Freudian legacy; depression as a destiny of loss; ageing through the lens of psychoanalysis; the constitution of the subject in childhood and the function of the Other; migratory grief and ambiguous loss; the formation of the ego in the mirror stage; and music, affective memory and psychoanalytic listening in Alzheimer's disease.
Note on this volume. The editorial processing records of volumes 1 to 3 are incomplete owing to a change in the journal's editorial direction; only the publication date is given for each article. The articles were accepted by the previous editors without the reviews being recorded, and the journal therefore does not claim that they underwent double-blind review. Each text was read in full by the current editors, had its authorship confirmed in the document or in the editorial record, had its references checked one by one, and was standardised to the current norms without any change to its argument.
The complete issue, with masthead and editorial, is available as a PDF on this page (in Portuguese).
