Abstract

Abstract

The article examines how social media’s culture of idealized self-presentation deepens the subject’s detachment from psychic wholeness. Drawing on Jung’s analytical psychology, it discusses the Shadow archetype, individuation, and the dangers of repressing unconscious contents. The paper argues that integrating the Shadow is essential for authenticity and psychological well-being, emphasizing the analyst’s role in supporting this inner reconciliation in the postmodern era.
