ABSTRACT
The manuscript examines Jung’s Shadow archetype and its role in the psyche and individuation. It argues that the Shadow holds repressed material and creative potential, outlining convergences and divergences with Freudian psychoanalysis. Cultural manifestations (William Blake) and clinical implications are discussed, emphasizing dreams, projection, and transference as routes to integration. Methodologically, it is a theoretical essay based on literature review and conceptual comparison. It concludes by advocating a productive dialogue between analytical psychology and psychoanalysis to broaden clinical tools and understanding of subjectivity.
